It's a task most drivers in Ireland are facing this week - defrosting the car every morning.

A driver has shared the simple hack she uses when de-icing her car windows. 

Leah Katie took to TikTok this week to share the trick with her followers.

The video has been viewed over 179,000 times on the video-sharing platform. 

Other drivers have been taking to the comments to share their tips for de-icing the car.

One person wrote: "A little bit of washing up liquid stops it freezing again."

While one other added: "Warm water with about 50ml of screen wash, mine have never iced back up."
