This is haunting to watch.
Yesterday, the world watched in shock as flames engulfed Notre Dame Cathedral, causing catastrophic damage to the 850-year-old historic building.
An amazing thing can happen in times of great sadness, however, when the best of humanity comes together in support.
One such moment happened last night, as crowds gathered to watch the terrible events unfold.
Footage shows the large group of people starting to sing as the flames from Notre Dame rose.
Watch some amazing clips here.

The Guardian report this morning that the priceless historical artifacts of religious and cultural significance have been saved, thanks to the brave work of the fire fighters tackling the blaze.
The main structure of Notre Dame, as well as its two towers, has also been saved.
