#Hapenny200
Dublin's Ha'penny Bridge turns 200 today.
The internet has been flooded with tidbits you might not have known about Dublin's first pedestrian bridge, including the fact that it was named after the toll crossers were required to pay for its first hundred years and the fact that a whopping 30,000 people cross it daily.
Its "love locks" have long been a source of controversy, with engineers begging people not to copy the trend of locking padlocks to the iron and more than 300kg of locks removed by the council.
It's also a really popular spot for Dublin proposals, and with very good reason.
Psychologists have found that people find each other more attractive when walking on a bridge, particularly a shaky or small bridge.
