When episode 4 of the final season of Game of Thrones aired last weekend, Twitter erupted after spotting a 'starbucks coffee cup,' which was accidentally left in a scene.
Naturally, Twitter found the entire thing hilarious and it made for some interesting moments online.
You're telling me they had TWO YEARS to put together a decent show and they couldn't even spot the goddamn Starbucks cup in Winterfell??!?! #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/8opg7nyydv

Dany: "Queen Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, ... of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons"
Barista: *writes "deedee"*
Starbucks is everywhere. It would be unrealistic if there WASN'T a Starbucks in Westeros.

Now, it's been revealedt that it wasn't a Starbucks coffee cup in the scene. The cup was actually from Belfast coffee shop Paper Cup.
Located in the Titanic Quarter, the shop is independently run, so they're not too happy that Starbucks are getting all their limelight.

Speaking to Metro, owner John McKinney revealed that stars like Emilia Clarke would often pop in for coffee, saying "I can’t remember what it was she had, but she really loved bagels. She would have them a lot..."
John joked "Maybe we should get signs! Those little blue plaques saying Emilia Clarke sat here."
On all the attention Starbucks is getting, he said "I think it’s bloody disgusting. It takes the promotion away from smaller businesses that need it, such as ours, or someone else’s whose cup it could’ve been. It’s clearly not even from Starbucks! The nearest Starbucks is miles away."
Well, if it's good enough for Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains, then it's definitely good enough for us.
Road trip anyone?
