106 Irish embassies and consulates are to be in operation by 2025.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is setting up 10 by the end of this year, and 26 in total over the next 6 years to add to the existing network of 80 missions.
New embassies are being opened in India, Colombia, Chile, Jordan, Cardiff, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt, under the 'Global Ireland' initiative, which aims to double Ireland's global impact.
