A man remains in Garda custody this morning in connection with an assault on a 10 week old baby in County Louth.
The little girl remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The man was arrested here in Dublin at around 6pm yesterday following the incident on Monday.
He's being quizzed in a Louth Garda Station.
