Cannabis seizure at Dublin Port

Cannabis worth more than €200,000 has been seized at Dublin Port.

Detector dog James found the drugs hidden in a container labeled "flat pack tables", which arrived yesterday.

In a seperate search yesterday, illegal cigarettes and tobacco worth over €6,500 were seized in the Moore Street area.

The contraband tobacco products were seized after searches of a number of premises in the Dublin 1 and Dublin 7 areas, by Revenue’s Customs Service and An Garda Síochána.
