Music and art are being highlighted today with the launch of Culture Night.
The Lord Mayor turned out on Ha'penny Bridge this morning where thousands of multi-coloured flags marked the launch of this year's event.
It kicks off next Friday with more than 350 events in the city.

Co-ordinator, Aimee Van Wylick, says it's growing every year.
"I think it's probably at this stage quite overwhelming for people because there is so much for people to chose to go to on the night," she said.
"This year's programme looks to be the largest ever so far.
"We're celebrating the 14th year of Culture Night.
"It's a night of discovery, of getting connected with your city and your location."
