A councillor says he's disgusted by plans for a memorial at a former Magdalene laundry in the city.
Mannix Flynn stormed out of a council meeting last night following the decision.
He said it was shameful the chamber backed the transfer of the Sean McDermott Street site to the OPW for the memorial;
He said: "I'm totally in favour of demolishing the entire site.
I mean, would you keep Fred West's house? Would you keep Rose West's house?; no you wouldn't.
So why would you want to keep a disgusting piece of muck where there was wholesale horror on Sean McDermott Street".
