DCU has been given the go ahead to expand its student accommodation by 1000 bed spaces.
According to the Sunday Business Post, the university is to level the existing Larkfield building, which houses 250, and build a new multi-story complex with capacity for 1240 spaces.
DCU currently has a portfolio of 1400 beds but this expansion will bring that number to almost 2400.
The new units will be spread across seven blocks that range in height from 5 to 10 storeys.
