Over 40,000 people are set to travel to the Canary islands for winter sun over the Christmas period.
The Sunday Times reports that the levels of those travelling to the Canaries this Christmas is set to exceed 2019 figures, with 41,000 jetting off to the popular region.
Earlier this year, thousands of passengers were met with chaotic scenes at Dublin Airport due to staff shortages.
The DAA recently held a two-day jobs fair to recruit new staff, advertising there were over 500 roles at Dublin airport available.
Graeme McQueen told the publication that the DAA was "excited" to see a "more normal" Christmas, adding that: "Plans are afoot for a busy schedule of festive choirs and entertainment in both our terminals."
