Dublin Fire Brigade could face strike action.
SIPTU staff have backed industrial action in a dispute over the ambulance service.
They voted by 93 per cent to 7 per cent in favour of a strike.
The union says the row centres on plans to outsource the ambulance call and dispatch function.
