One of Dublin's biggest restaurant groups has threatened the government with legal action if it extends Covid-19 restrictions on pubs and restaurants beyond October 10th.
According to the Irish Times, the Press Up Group says it will be left with no choice but to issue legal proceedings if restrictions are extended.
It owns the likes of the Stella, the Dean and the Workmans, says the Health Minister has published "no empirical, objective and verifiable evidence" to support the shutdown of pubs and restaurants.
The group employs 18 hundred people across five hotels, 12 bars, 27 restaurants and two cinemas.
The company has given the government until Tuesday to say whether it plans to extend the restrictions beyond October 10th or it will issue proceedings.
It comes 442 new cases have been confirmed yesterday, while 4 more people with the virus have died.
