Inner city gang violence is becoming a “regular occurence”, according to one local rep.
Gardai have attended the scene of an altercation between a group of youths on Windmill Lane this afternoon.
Video footage of the brawl shows young men attacking each other with weapons.
City Councillor Mannix Flynn says incidents like this are happening all too often lately:
"The footage that we have at the moment can be used to track down those individuals and bring them to justice.
"But it's unacceptable and a lot of this is drug-fueled, a lot of this is criminality and a lot of this is taking place in our streets terrifying neighbours, terrifying communities and passers-by.
"It's absolutely outrageous what's happening and it's all too often."
