A man is in critical condition in hospital after being found with severe head injuries in Finglas.
A man was found with severe and unexplained head injuries at Mellowes Avenue around 8pm last night.
A 26 year old man was transported to Connolly Hospital, where he's said to be in a critical condition.
The area was sealed off while gardaí carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
Initial reports suggested that the man had been shot, though the Sunday World reports that gardaí found no evidence of a shooting at the scene, though they're not ruling it out.
The wounded man is reported to have links to organised crime and is allegedly known to gardaí.
Investigations are ongoing.
