Gardaí have launched an investigation after a video emerged of a teen appearing to threaten a Dublin Bus passenger with a screwdriver.
Clips of an incident appearing to show a teenage boy threatening a fellow passenger on the bus were uploaded to TikTok last Saturday, though it's unclear if it happened that day.
The teen can be seen brandishing a screwdriver and a pair of vice grips.
He also hurled homophobic and xenophobic slurs at the man, who's from Ukraine.
Dublin Bus is also carrying out an internal investigation and told us:
"Dublin Bus is aware of footage showing an incident in which a passenger was threatened. We are conducting an internal investigation, and can confirm that we are providing assistance to An Garda Siochana in relation to this incident."
In a statement the guards said:
"An Garda Síochána is aware of a video of an incident that occurred on a Dublin Bus service, and which is in wide circulation online and through direct messaging apps.
"An Garda Síochána is investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the incident."
