A man has been shot dead by Gardaí searching for a woman, who disappeared in Wicklow at the weekend.
He was intercepted at Cherrywood as part of the Garda hunt for Jastine Valdez, who is still missing.
The 24-year-old was bundled into a car on Saturday outside Enniskerry in Wicklow.
A Garda Ombudsman team was deployed to the scene overnight.

Gardaí in Bray are appealing for information following the disappearance of a 24-year-old woman from Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

The man, who was believed to be armed with a knife, was from Wicklow, and married with children.
Meanwhile Gardaí are searching an area in South County Dublin this morning for Jastine Valdez.
Officers are focusing on Rathmichael - the army and civil defence forces are assisting.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw a black Nissan Qashqai with the reg 171 D 20419 between 5pm on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday
