Temperature across the city could hit as low as minus 5 tonight.
An Orange level weather alert has been issued by Met Eireann for snow and ice - and it's to remain in place until tomorrow night.
Road users are also being warned to take extreme care as between 4cm to 8cms of snow is expected to fall - leaving road conditions treacherous.
Meanwhile, the cold snap has prompted homeless charities to step up calls for emergency accommodation.
They say with plummeting temperatures - the crisis is escalating for the city's rough sleepers.
Anthony Flynn from Dublin's Inner City Helping Homeless says they can't seem to get through to the Government about how serious the situation is.
