There are reports that some families living in emergency accommodation are being asked to vacate their rooms to accommodate St Patrick's Day tourists.
The issue has been raised by Sinn Féin which says hotels and B&Bs often ask families to move out temporarily when demand is high.
Almost one thousand families are living emergency accommodation in the Dublin region.
