It's the fourth most popular Marathon in Europe
The KBC Dublin Marathon has officially sold out.
The #KBCDublinMarathon is now sold out with a record 22,500 entries. We know that many of you are disappointed not to have secured an entry. We had over 8,000 vying for 2,500 entries which led to some technical difficulties with Eventmaster often encountered during peak demand 🏃🏼♀️ pic.twitter.com/BUj4sz2NKo

Enteries for the 40th instalment of the race, sold out in December, but organisiers put an extra two and a half thousand spots up for grabs, which were all snapped up today.
It's estimated over eight thousand people attempted to claim the remaining places, leading to the website crashing due to the huge volume of traffic.
22 and a half thousand people will pound the streets of the City on Sunday October 27th.
We apologise if you are experiencing difficulty logging on to the KBC Dublin Marathon website. There is an issue with the EventMaster database so they’re working on resolving the issue on their side. We’ll let you know as soon as we’ve an update from the team
