We have the latest from all 12 of Dublin's #GE24 constituencies.

20.16

Sinn Féin's Louise O'Reilly, of Dublin Fingal West, has been elected to the next Dail.

19:24

Jack Chambers and Sinn Féin’s Paul Donnelly have both been elected to the Dublin West.

Chambers secured 9,446 first preference votes.

The Fianna Fail candidate exceeded the quota of 7,373, as did.

The Sinn Fein representative Donnelly secured 7,731 votes.

Of 78,034 people eligible to vote in Dublin West, turnout was 44,593, however, 357 votes were spoiled and didn't count.

18.57

Fine Gael's James Geoghegan has topped the poll for Dublin Bay South - we're heading for a third count there.

The quota is 7,957 and he is on 6,609.

Labour leader, Ivana Bacik and Fianna Fáil's Jim O'Callaghan with little to chose between them in second and third, ahead of Sinn Féin's Chris Andrews.

18.47

18.44

There is a lot of counting to be done this weekend!  But at the end of it all just how many parties will it take to form the next government?

18.37

First count in Dublin Central where the quota is 6,551

Mary Lou McDonald has fallen just short of being elected on the first count, with 6,389, ahead of Paschal Donohue on 5,493, Gary Gannon on 4,353 and Gerry Hutch on 3,098.

18.33

The Green Party looks like it could lose most, if not all, of the 12 seats it currently holds.

Party leader Roderic O'Gorman, is in a fight to take the 5th of 5 seats in Dublin West.

While former deputy leader Catherine Martin, is in serious danger in Dublin Rathdown:

“It's a very, very disappointing day for the Green Party, and my heart goes out to everyone, all of the candidates we ran in every single constituency, and it's a tough day, but this has happened before, and we will come back, and we will come back stronger than ever before, that I can be assured of.”

18.18

Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin is probably a lot cheerier today than he thought he would be given that exit poll last night!

Speaking to reporters in Cork he said:

"Look, I'll be honest with you, when I saw that exit poll last night, I was disappointed. I just said to myself, what the hell you know?

'And like in the current modern day scenario, one or two per cent is massive now, particularly in the multiple party situation, in a lot of independents and so on.

"So it looks like now we will exceed the exit poll. We could be the largest party in the popular vote."

17.59

17.43

That earlier promise of a first count here at the RDS seems to have been optimistic!

But we have had Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald arrive in the past few minutes..

17.12

We have our first TD elected in Dublin.

Fine Gael's Jennifer Carroll MacNeill has been elected in Dun Laoghaire.   She got 11,685 votes, 551 above the quota.

17:00

The First Count is in for Fingal West!

Louise O’Reilly comfortably tops the poll, but is still around 560 away from the quota, and narrowly misses out on a first count re-election.

Uwhumiakpor (IND), Parsons (TIP), Gilroy (LR) and Oakes (IFP) have all been eliminated, with 1,121 votes to be redistributed.

O'Reilly, Louise - 6,965

O'Donoghue, Robert  - 5,044

Boland, Grace  - 4,583

Clifford-Lee, Lorraine  - 4,417

Murphy, Tony - 3,588

O'Brien, Joe * - 1,844

Edwards, Bryn -  1,392

Loughlin, Robbie - 1,163

Gilroy, Ben - 417

Oakes, John - 392

Parsons, Mark Joseph - 157

Uwhumiakpor, Oghenetano John - 155

16.12

Movement! We may have a count within the next hour!

Word has started to spread that we could have something solid to report around 5pm, with possibly the first count for Dublin Central.

None of the big players have turned up at the RDS count centre yet.

In truth, the journalists and the camera operators, have one name on their lips, and that is Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.

One journalist, busy tapping away on every other interesting line out of the election, even has a spotter outside waiting to tip her off when he rolls up.

At this stage it's looking like Gerry Hutch he will have enough to carry him over the line in Dublin Central.

Watch this space - literally this space...

16.00

Sinn Féin's Eoin O'Broin insists there is still a path to power for the left.

"We're going to wait until all of the seats are allocated and all of the votes are counted before we start thinking about how that looks.

"Also I'd be wary about anyone making seat projections, there's a very significant amount of fragmentation and the final seat or seats, especially in the four and five-seaters, are impossible to call."

15.54

People Before Profit's Richard Boyd Barrett looks set to retain his seat in Dun Laoghaire.

He's criticising the Social Democrats, Labour and the Greens for not shutting down the option of going into Government with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael:

"Their failure to establish a left alliance, which we were calling for, and they kept leaving open the option of going in with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, which they're still doing, essentially meant lower turnout.

"The people who need change most, young people, working class areas, there has been a lower turnout and that has benefited the government."

15.35

Dublin Bay North could take some time to sort out.

It's a five-seater constituency and we're not expecting the first count until around 6pm.

With 98 per cent of the tallies counted Soc Dems Cian O'Callaghan is out in front, ahead of Sinn Féin's Denise Mitchell, Tom Brabazon of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael's Naoise O'Muirí.

15.10

What about the story outside of Dublin?

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is in real danger of losing his seat in Wicklow

He's currently holding the 4th seat but Simon Harris has a large surplus to transfer

Gráinne Seoige is not going to win a seat for Fianna Fáil in Galway West

The Greens are facing a wipeout - and Deputy leader Catherine Martin looks likely to lose to the Social Democrats

It would be one of at least two extra seats for the Soc Dems who will take one in Cork South Central through Padraig Rice.

15.08

Another Green Party TD looks set to lose his seat...

14.44

Labour MEP Aodhán Ó Ríordáin says the party will be happy with its performance in the election:

"Absolutely six, possibly somewhere closer to eight, nine, but we'll see.

"But I have to say, like considering where we were this time last year, people talk about Ivana losing her seat, Duncan, going from a five seater to a three seater.

"You know that kind of narrative? We are more than happy. And as I say, I would have bitten your arm off for this.

14.39

The Green Party is expected to lose almost all of their 12 seats in this election.

Former Green Party leader Eamon Ryan, who's stepping down as a TD for Dublin Bay South, is hopeful the party will have a few TDs in the next Dail:

“Very disappointing, very hard for people who worked really hard.

"Firstly, we thank everyone who did vote for us. We're a democratic constitutional party. We trust in the people, and we're gonna have a bad day, but we could also win a couple that are still in the mix.

"So let's wait and see how the transfers work out, but we'll come back.”

14.30

People Before Profit's Paul Murphy says he's likely to be in a battle for the final seat in Dublin South West according to the latest tallies.

But he believes he will get over the line:

'The final seat will be between myself and the second Sinn Féin candidate at the moment, and this is only with just over 50 per cent of boxes tallied.

'It's looking reasonably good for us to be ahead and then to benefit from transfers from the second Sinn Féin, who's councillor Niamh Whelan, in Tallaght.'

14.25

14.00

Gerry Hutch will take confidence from the tallies.

With 100% of the boxes tallied, he currently lies 4th.

Sinn Féin leader, Mary Lou McDonald, is set to top the poll, ahead of Fine Gael's Paschal Donohoe, with Gary Gannon lying third in the tallies.

13.46

It's looking good for Fianna Fáil's Jack Chambers in Dublin West.

13.25

Younger voters have leaned into Sinn Féin.  It was clearly the most popular party among that cohort, taking 29 per cent of the vote of 18 to 24 year olds and 36 per cent of 25 to 34's.

The Soc Dems also polling higher at 9 per cent among those two demographics

While Fianna Fáil averages 13 per cent with under 35's and Fine Gael just under that

Housing was more of an issue for younger voters than the national average - 42 per cent of 25 to 34 year olds said it was their top issue compared to 28 per cent nationally.

The ballot boxes have opened and the count is on!

Dublin will elect 49 TDs when all the votes are counted this weekend.

Our reporters are live from count centres across Dublin.

Scroll down for the First Counts by constituency which we are expecting shortly.
