The Lord Mayor of Dublin says people who use electric scooters without tax or insurance are a menace on the roads.
Neil Ring says just like rickshaws, they need to be regulated.
The Times Ireland reported earlier that Gardaí have been stopping and fining people using electric scooters for not having insurance.
