A man in his 40s has been killed in a crash in Co. Meath.
The crash happened at around 7:30 yesterday evening at the roundabout at Nine Mile Stone near Ashbourne.
Fire and emergency services attended the scene after the van involved burst into flames.
The blaze was brought under control, but a man in his late 40s, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His remains have been taken to the mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where a post mortem will be carried out.
A technical examination of the scene has taken place and the road has re-opened.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road user who has dash-cam footage, to contact them at Ashbourne Garda Station.
