A man has been arrested after the body of a woman in her 30s was discovered in an apartment in Ratoath.
Gardaí discovered the body of a woman at the home in River Walk Court, Ratoath shortly after 6pm yesterday evening.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene last night and remains in Garda custody this morning.
He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, and can be questioned for 24 hours.
An incident room has been established at Ashbourne Station, and Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
