In a joint operation, Gardaí and Customs seized Herbal Cannabis worth €1.6 million in Wexford following a targeted operation.
One man was arrested when a van was stopped and searched in Ballycaraney yesterday.
During the search around 80kg of Herbal Cannabis was discovered.
The man detained at the scene is aged in his 40s, and is currently being held in a garda station in the east of the country, where he can be held for up to seven days.
The drugs seized will be sent to for forensic analysis while gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
