A man remains in hospital following an attempted robbery in Finglas yesterday.
It happened at a newsagents on Fitzmaurice Road.
The victim - who's in his 40's - received serious head injuries during the raid.
He was working in the shop when two men entered at around 8.15am, and attacked him.
They fled the scene empty-handed in a white-coloured 'saloon-type' car.
Gardai are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch with them.
