New efforts to tackle knife crime in Dublin

There’s a push to double jail time for knife attacks.

An emergency motion will be made at today's city council meeting by four local reps.

Nial Ring, Christy Burke, Anthony Flynn and Cieran Perry will call on the Justice Minister to bring in previously suggested changes to current laws.

The move would increase the sentence for knife crime to 10 years.
