The unseasonable weather looks set to continue.
There are no signs of a summer comeback this weekend.
The cool, wet and cloudy conditions are set to continue over the next few days.
Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel gives an outlook:
"Conditions over the course of the weekend are expected to remain pretty unsettled across most of the country," he said.
"We will see some outbreaks of rain at times, especially so early on Saturday across northern parts of the country.
"This will clear away to be followed by sunny spells, and one or two showers drifting in from the Atlantic.
"Overall temperatures will be fairly average for the time of the year, ranging between 16 and 18 degrees celsius in moderate, westerly winds."
