An event to mark the 5th anniversary of Savita Halapanavar's death has been taking place in the city.
She died following complications arising from a septic miscarriage and failings in her care on this day in 2012.
The silent vigil at the GPO on O'Connell Street has been organised by 'The Coalition to Repeal the 8th'
It's one of at least 20 similar events taking place around the country
vigils are also being held abroad - in London outside the Irish Embassy and at the Irish Consulate in New York
