Gardai say up to 25 stolen or uninsured cars are seized every week in Cherry Orchard.
Sinn Féin Cllr Daithí Doolan claimed the cars are being used to terrorise our communities day and night.
The councillor said efforts will have to be redoubled as the number of robbed or burnt out cars is set to increase by 150% in Dublin South Central.
He said the number's already doubled in the first 6 months of 2016.
