A man's been arrested in a major Garda crackdown on organised crime gangs.
18 searches were conducted in Dublin at Kildare by members of CAB, the Armed Support Unit and a host of other Garda divisions.
Rolex watches, an SUV and a Landrover along with an assortment of designer clothing was recovered
Documentation in relation to the ownership of assets, financial documentation, mobile phones and electronic storage devices were also seized and are currently being examined by Bureau Officers.
Gardai say evidence of considerable expenditure on a number of homes in the Dublin area has been obtained and analysed by an expert on behalf of CAB
A 36 year old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and is currently detained at Irishtown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardai say the operation is ongoing.
