A woman's been found guilty of killing her boyfriend in Phisboro.
46-year-old Norma Philips stabbed Stefan Neanu once in the chest at her home in April 2015.
When GardaĆ arrived at her apartment, Norma Philips was said to be in a “distressed state”.
Stefan Neanu was lying on her bed but was able to get up and walk outside with paramedics.
He died in hospital a few hours later.
A post mortem established he’d been stabbed in the chest and the blade had pierced his heart.
A knife with his blood on it was found inside the flat.
Ms. Philips initially told GardaĆ he’d been attacked by an intruder but later said she’d acted in self-defence.
Following seven hours of deliberations, the jury cleared her of murder this afternoon but found her guilty of manslaughter.
She’s to be sentenced next Monday.
