Deirdre Finn died in the tragic incident on Monday morning.
A woman who died in a boat fire in Carrick-On-Shannon over the weekend was a serving Garda Detective in Dublin.
Deirdre Finn died in the incident which emergency services responded to on Monday morning.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed Deirdre was a detective based out of Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.
She was also an active member of the Garda Representative Association.

It's believed Deirdre was approaching retirement in the force, after serving for almost 30 years, according to The Mirror.
Gardaí released a statement last night saying a post-mortem was due to take place today at Sligo University Hospital.
They say the scene is currently being preserved and a technical exam will take place on the boat.
Gardaí have described the incident as a 'personal tragedy' and say investigations are ongoing.
