IRELAND have been drawn against Portugal and Serbia in their World Cup qualifiers group.
Stephen Kenny's men will have to face Cristiano Ronaldo and co. in their bid to reach the tournament in Qatar.
The top team in each group advances to the tournament automatically with the second placed teams advancing to the playoffs.
And they be up against it when they take on the reigning European Champions.
Serbia have also recently gotten the better of Ireland as they finished top of the group in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
There was a break for Ireland in Pot 4 as they were pitted against Luxembourg, the lowest ranked side in the pot, reports the Irish Sun.
And the group was completed with a difficult away trip for Stephen Kenny's side as they will have to travel to Azerbaijan.
Northern Ireland will also face a tough task in finishing in the top two after being pitted against Italy and Switzerland as well as Bulgaria and Lithuania.
England will come up against Robert Lewandowski and Poland as well as Hungary, Albania, San Marino and Andorra.
