Conor McGregor did once again what he said he was going to do overnight.
In the very first UFC event to be held at the famous Madison Sqaure Garden, the Crumlin man became the first MMA fighter in history to hold multiple UFC titles at the same time.

McGregor went into his fight with Eddie Alvares as the featherweight champion and became the lightweight champion after three minutes and four seconds of the second round, having knocked out Alverez.
Before the fight he announced that he had a big announcement to make and in his post fight press conference at the New York venue, McGregor in typical fassion had one or two 'bomb shells' to drop.
"There's a few bomb shells I wanted to hit." McGregor said.
"One announcement is that I am going to be a daddy next year.
"I'm crapping my jocks, I just don't know what way to take it it.
"I don't want to be bringing a child into anything like this, I don't want celebrity s**te, I hate all that and I don't want my family to be like that.
"I'm going to just have this baby and take a bit of time and see how I feel after that.
The UFC was sold to William Morris Endeavor and International Management Group (WME-IMG) for a reported $4 billion earlier this year.
Since then a number of UFC staff members have either been fired or will be leaving on their own quite soon.
A number of celebrities and professional athletes now have a stake in the company, and McGregor believes he deserves a piece of the lucrative pie he’s helped to create.
"I’ve earned something. People have shares in the company, celebrities.
"Conan O’Brien has a share in the company. Where’s my share? Where’s my equity? If I’m the one that’s bringing this, I want what I deserve, what I’ve earned.
"I’m aware of my worth.
"Now I’ve got a family, now I got a kid on the way. I’m coming for mine now if you want me back."
