Dublin have booked their place in the final of the O'Byrne Cup.
They beat Longford at Pearse Park on Saturday afternoon on a 0-16 to 0-05 scoreline at Pearse Park.
As he had promised to do in mid-week, manager Dessie Farrell made use of a mixture of youth and experience in his team selection, with the likes of James McCarthy, Brian Howard and Ciarán Kilkenny - who would top score with four points from play - all involved.
The Blues just needed to avoid defeat to secure their place in the decider. The other game in the group saw Offaly emerge victorious over Louth on a 0-15 to 2-06 scoreline.
They must wait to find out who they will play next, with the semi-finals due to be played tomorrow. The line-up for that game on Wednesday will be known after the conclusion of this weekend's fixtures.
