The Diarmuid Connolly saga is over.
Dublin GAA have officially confirmed they will not be taking his case to the Central Appeals Committee.
Diarmuid Connolly and Dublin GAA have decided not to appeal the decision of the Central Hearings Committee to the Central Appeals Committee
— Dublin GAA (@DubGAAOfficial) June 15, 2017
The news comes after the Central Hearings Committee upheld the decision of the Central Competitions Control Committee to recommend a twelve week ban for his push on the linesman during Dublin's win over Carlow in the Leinster Football Championship.
Connolly will now be out of action until a potential All-Ireland semi-final on August 27th if Dublin make it that far.
