The Republic of Ireland must beat Denmark in Dublin next month to guarantee qualification for Euro 2020.
It follows last night's 2-0 defeat to Switzerland in Geneva.
Captain Seamus Coleman was dismissed in the second half for a second yellow card. He will now miss the game against the Danes on November 18th.

Shane Duffy is remaining upbeat that Ireland will be playing at next summer's finals.
"If we take that second-half performance into Denmark at home," he said.
"We know the Aviva is going to be rocking, we know everyone is going to be up for it.
"We're one game away from the Euros and a couple of games in Ireland hopefully.
"That's the disappointing thing, we knew tonight that we could have had it with a game in hand.
"It wasn't to be tonight so we have to keep having belief."
