The players and staff of Dundalk are donating a day’s wages to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

The Lilywhites and sponsors Fyffes are backing the hospital this season with a new purple change strip.

All proceeds from sales will go to charity.

There'll be a bucket collection ahead of their EA Sports Cup clash with UCD tonight at Oriel Park.

Dundalk captain, Brian Gartland, told The Irish Sun: "It's a brilliant cause.

"We wanted to lead by example as players and we are donating a day's wages each to the charity."
