It took him 74 attempts but Sergio Garcia can finally call himself a major champion.
The Spaniard beat Justin Rose in a dramatic play-off at the Masters at Augusta on Sunday night. Both players finished on nine under par with Garcia winning the first hole in a sudden death play-off on the 18th hole.
"When I came here in '99 as an amateur I felt like this course was probably going to give me at least one major," said Garcia.
What an awesome new jacket, the members of Augusta National GC gave me tonight, don't you think?😍 pic.twitter.com/grvu8ZIhi6

"I'm not going to lie, that thought kind of changed a little bit through the years because I started to feel uncomfortable on the course but I kind of came to peace with it in the past three or four years.
"I accepted what Augusta gives and takes and because of that I am able to stand here today."
Congrats @TheSergioGarcia
