Jamie Heaslip has been shortlisted for the IRB World Player of the Year.
The Ireland and Leinster back row is nominated along with England trio Owen Farrell, Billy Vunipola and Maro Itoje. Also in the running are New Zealand pair, Beauden Barrett and Dane Coles.
Heaslip was previously shortlisted for World Rugby Player of the Year in 2009, an award claimed by Richie McCaw.
Keith Wood was the last Irish player to win the award back in 2001.
The winner will be announced next Sunday at the World Rugby Awards in London.
