The Girls in Green will reach at least the play-offs for the next European Championships if they get something from the game in Kiev.
Ireland captain Katie McCabe says qualifying for the European Championships for the first time would be an incredible achievement.
Vera Pauw's side take on Ukraine later, with a draw enough to earn them at least a playoff spot for the tournament in 2022.
Arsenal star McCabe thinks qualifying with this group of players would make it very special:
"It's not just as a captain, its as that little girl growing up to be achieving her dream of going to a major tournament is something that I would never forget," she said.

"Obviously I can't get too far ahead as we still have to play the game.
"To look forward and to possibly achieve that would be fantastic, but to do it with my teammates would be even more special."
The match in Kiev tonight kicks off at 5pm Irish time.
