Ireland have finished in third place in this year's Six Nations after a 25-5 victory over Italy at the Donnybrook today.
The Girls in Green led by eight points at the break after a Dorothy Wall try.
The third quarter proved to be the moving quarter as Ireland ran in another two five-pointers to put the game beyond Italy. The Meditteranians did hit back when Melissa Bettoni forced her way over.
But Ireland had the final say when Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe got her second try of the afternoon. Cliodhna Moloney was Ireland's other try scorer on the day.
Attention will now turn to World Cup qualification later in the summer.
