Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is both 'sad and happy' at Morgan Schneiderlin's impending departure from Manchester United.
It was announced on Tuesday evening that Everton have agreed a €25m fee with the Red Devils to sign the French midfielder, and a transfer should be formalised in the coming days with just personal terms to agree.
The 27-year-old midfielder has played just three Premier League matches this season and although his relationship with Mourinho seemed strained the Portuguese insists he is sorry to lose Schneiderlin.
"We have a very good relationship and he knows I consider him a very important player for us," he said.
"I'm sorry to lose him, but I'm happy for him to be happy to play every match, to be important (at Everton).
"So, I'm sad and happy at the same time."
