Jose Mourinho says that he has overachieved at Manchester United and has hit out at those who are criticising him.
The Red Devils boss has been forced to defend his record following last week's Champions League elimination at the hands of Sevilla.
In an interview with C-N-N, Mourinho says his critics lack common sense and football knowledge.
"For people with a brain, with common sense and a knowledge of what sport is, we are in a moment of transition.
"We are in a moment of transition and we still managed to do what we did last season, and win trophies, and to do what we are trying to do this season, which is still trying to win a trophy.
"We're trying to finish second, because that is the only top position which is possible for us to get."
