Damar Hamlin collapsed during Monday night's game with Cincinatti Bengals.

Buffalo Bills have confirmed that Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during their NFL game last night.

The 24 year old player collapsed on the field during the game against Cincincati Bengals.

He appeared to be hurt while tackling Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.

Hamlin got to his feet after the encounter and looked to adjust his helmet, but then fell backwards onto the ground and stayed motionless.

His heart was restarted on the field before he was transferred to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

“Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals,” the Bills posted on their official Twitter account.

“His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”
