His manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has confirmed that the striker will be out of action with ankle ligament damage but didn't say how long he'd be out for.
Kane scored the winner against Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Sunday but twisted his ankle while tackling Papy Djilobodji late in the game.
"We will continue to assess him every day but don't want to put a timeframe on it," Pochettino said.
The 23-year-old could be out for up to two months and c ould miss the Champions League group games against CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen along with key games against Manchester City, Leicester City and Arsenal in the Premier League.
