Peamount United have completed the League and Cup double after beating Cork City 6-0 this afternoon.
They dominated this Cup final at Tallaght Stadium, but it took until the second half for them to make it count.
And it was Stephanie Roche who scored their first two goals. The first was a shot across Cork keeper Maria O'Sullivan, which nestled neatly in the right corner.
The second ended up in nearly the same spot after Alannah McEvoy laid an Elanor Ryan Doyle cross back into her path. The former Puskas award nominee showed great composure to pick out her spot.
It was three on 76 minutes when Áine O'Gorman slotted home after Roche had turned provider with a through ball. Karen Duggan headed home their fourth, getting there first from a corner kick.
Rebecca Watkins got the fifth, and then Tegan Ruddy had their sixth
Having lost the last two finals to Wexford Youths, it's the perfect way to answer the critics and confirm their status as the undoubted best club side in the country.
