Preston on the cards for Horgan and Boyle

All Sport

After helping Dundalk to a three in a row of SSE Airtricity League title wins this season and played their part in Dundalks journey in the Europa League, Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle could be on the move.

The pair could find themselves on the way to English Championship side Preston, according to reports in todays Star.

Having earned recognition for their efforts with recent senior international call-up's, their future playing in Ireland was put in doubt.

In recent months, the ruhmour mill had pointed them in West Ham's direction and even apparent interest from Scottish side Rangers.

While separtely, Horgan has caught the eyes of David Moyes at Sunderland and Rafa Benitez at Newcastle.

Although Dundalk remain in the Europa League and have an excellent chance of qualifying for the knockout stage in March, Horgan would find it difficult to turn down a move to England given the financial rewards on offer.

The news comes after the League of Ireland Champions resighed Ciaran Kilduff and Robbie Benson for next season.

Stephen Kenny's side are preparing for a vital Europa League game at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday.
