Cluxton misses out for the Dubs...
The 2016 Football All Stars have been announced and there is no nod for Dublin keeper, Stephen Cluxton.
He misses out on the goalkeeper award to Mayo's David Clarke.
Six Dublin players in total have been honoured. Jonny Cooper and Dean Rock will pick up their first All Star awards at Friday night's gala ceremony. Philly McMahon and Diarmuid Connolly will collect their second All Stars while Player of the Year contenders, Brian Fenton and Ciaran Kilkenny, will also receive their second awards.
Among the other high profile Dubs to miss out are Cian O'Sullivan and Kevin McManamon while James McCarthy's injury prone season has cost him.
In a season where Dublin went unbeaten in both the League and the Championship their haul of six, which is down one on last year, will no doubt cause consternation in certain circles.
Four Mayo players make this year's All Stars shortlist along with Clarke - Brendan Harrison, Lee Keegan and Colm Boyle but none of their forwards are recognised.
Tyrone's Mattie Donnelly joins Brian Fenton in midfield in the All Star team - his Tyrone teammate, Peter Harte, is named in the half-forward line.
There are also nods for Tipperary's Michael Quinivan at full forward and Kerry's Paul Geaney at 15.
The Hurling All Star selection will be revealed on Friday night along with the Player of the Year in both Football and Hurling.
